Kevin Bousfield qualified as a financial adviser in 1997 and has been a director at KNS Financial Planning since forming the business with colleagues Nichola Johnson and Stephen Braithwaite in 2010. His further qualifications and long experience have focused particularly on retirement planning matters and helping clients to plan their investments. Educated in Cumbria, keen sportsman Kevin lives in the area with his wife Lisa and young family.

Nichola Johnson grew up in the Lakes, later moving to Kendal where she lives with husband Craig. Working in finance since 1998, she became an adviser in 2002, gaining a Business and Management degree and other qualifications whilst working. At KNS Financial Planning, her specialist areas include individual and corporate pension advice, long-term care funding, investment planning, protection and retirement options. She enjoys cooking, travel and gardening.

Stephen Braithwaite has always lived in Cumbria, working with Kevin Bousfield and Nichola Johnson for over 15 years. With some client relationships of more than 20 years, he has been an adviser since 1992 and gained elite Chartered Financial Planner status in 2010. He majors in pension planning, also advising on life and critical illness cover, investments and inheritance tax. Interests include, cars, travel and endurance running.

David Birkbeck joined KNS Financial Planning as a director in 2015 with almost 30 years’ finance experience. Educated at Appleby Grammar School, he worked for a clearing bank before joining a financial advice firm in 1994. Experienced in all aspects of financial planning, he specialises in equity release and long-term care issues. Married to Ollie, with two sons, he enjoys cycling and community involvement.
